Description
A lovely small sitting Buddha produced in Japan probably around the 1940's. The colours are very rich and vibrant and like all these 'Moriage'-style pieces the colours are laid on so thickly you can feel them.
Most of the shiny gold gilting on the broad borders has rubbed off over time - please see photos - but this does give it an attractive 'antique' look. No visible cracks, chips or mends.
