Namaste! We look forward to your visit at www-AsianSpirit-de.
The teaching Buddha holds his hand outstretched forward. The thumb and index finger touch and represent the wheel of teaching. It is a very special Mudra representation that shows Buddha while he was teaching his teachings in Bodhgaya, among other places.
All engravings on the body are excellently done, which gives the Buddha a unique aura.
The processing around the Buddha represents the individual stages of the Buddha's life and his journeys across the country in search of spirituality and the associated enlightenment, but also the instruction of the non-enlightened.
Teaching Buddha Meaning:
The Buddha is the "Vitarka Mudra Buddha" or teaching Buddha.
The Vitarka Mudra is the gesture of discussion.
Whoever performs this gesture is considered a scholar and substantiates his statements / teachings.
Vitarka is thus the mudra of instruction. Vitarka also means understanding.
To this day, it is common for the master/teacher/guru to hold his hand in the teaching mud at the beginning of a treatise and thus indicate that a teaching speech begins.
